Kelly Larson (she/her/hers) is an instructional coach for Forest Lake Area Schools (FLAS). Before coaching, she served as a K-12 music teacher at both the elementary and secondary levels for almost two decades. Kelly has been actively involved in educational equity efforts in various settings for the past fifteen years. Her most recent work involves co-creating a K-3 anti-bias curriculum to be implemented in FLAS elementary schools this fall. Kelly is a member of the FLAS Equity Steering Committee and the Mounds View Public Schools District Equity Committee. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-St. Paul, with her research focusing on disrupting educators’ deficit mindsets. When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, gardening, playing ukulele, and listening to true crime podcasts.
