                                                    Mariana Morgan-Sawyer is an artist and educator out of Saint Paul, Minnesota with backgrounds in theater, photography, African & African American history, social justice, comparative race & ethnicity, youth work, activism, and education. She was raised as an activist-artist in the realm of social justice theater and cultivated by creative communities through Penumbra Theatre, Saint Paul Neighborhood Network, and Central High School’s Black Box Theater. Some of Mariana’s artistic work includes spoken word, songwriting and composition, scene-writing and development, visual art, and performance art. Mariana is a passionate friend, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, granddaughter, and mother-to-be. She is currently employed by Roseville Area Schools and enjoys being a life-long learner amidst the students and leaders of this generation and those to come.
