Beverly Bushyhead, an enrolled citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, is a restorative practitioner. Beverly works with nonprofits, government and academic professionals in the Twin Cities metropolitan region and across the country. Beverly is in
demand as a culturally specific consultant. She inspires equitable systems transformation through the development of foundational readiness and concrete action strategies. Beverly is actively engaged in restorative practice, system humanization,
culturally specific trauma informed, resilience oriented, and restorative-focused facilitation and equity training, building community and belonging. Beverly serves as Co-Chair of the Family Tree Clinic. She is past Chair of the Urban
Indian Advisory Board appointed by the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council. She has been an instrumental leader on the Cultural and Ethnic Community Leadership Council appointed by Minnesota DHS Commissioner until 2019 and Transforming Systems
Together at Ramsey County. She was co-facilitator in the restorative process in the State of Minnesota vs Michael Anthony Forcia case in 2021. Beverly brings rigor, vision, and clarity. Beverly earned two master’s degrees in nonprofit management and public administration at Hamline University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Augsburg University. Beverly also earned certificates in Passion Driven Statistics at Wesleyan University and Leading Strategic Innovation at Vanderbilt University. Beverly is a certified Racial Justice Facilitator, Non-Violent Peace Activist and Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE)/Race Forward Affiliated Trainer.
