Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI initiatives often focus chiefly on working to support people of color negotiate a white supremacist world. We believe that a focus on helping whites understand what it means to have a white racial identity, and how they unwittingly enact white supremacy in such a world, is equally important. This session will explore the dynamics of creating an anti-racist white identity in white colleagues and students and demonstrate a number of tools we have found useful in that process.
