Kevin Williams is a social justice activist, community organizer and equity trainer. He owns a consulting company, K. James Consultations, that has worked with various community, government and private organizations including Dakota County Library, the Minnesota Historical Society, and Ramsey County. He is currently the Manager of Equity and Inclusion for the Fresno Economic Opportunities Commission, and is one of the co-founders of Take A Knee Nation, a social justice organization in Minneapolis, responsible for organizing the National March for Mothers in July of 2020 and the 2018 Conference Against Police Violence. He has been interviewed on both local and international news outlets in response to racial unrest after the murders of George Floyd and Brionna Taylor. In 2019, he was a member of the Bush Foundation Change Network and the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Leadership Cohort, representing Ramsey County Health and Human Services Administration. He also served as Strategic Advisor to the Minneapolis NAACP President. He also has a bachelor's and master's degrees in Social Psychology, as well as a Master of Business Administration.
Outside of his work, he is an avid science fiction reader, and is currently working on an Encyclopedia of Black Superheroes as well as a reference book on the historical relevance of comic book literature.
