Dr. SooJin Pate is a professor, DEI consultant, and writer dedicated to centering the lives and experiences of historically marginalized peoples. As a professor, she teaches courses on U.S. history and culture through the lens of race, class, gender, and sexuality in the Twin Cities area. As a DEI professional, she helps companies and organizations embed racial equity into their systems and processes. She is the author of From Orphan to Adoptee: U.S. Empire and Genealogies of Korean Adoption and co-host of the Antiracist Parenting Podcast.
