Speaker Bio
Democracy & Immigration Organizer Judith was born in Veracruz, Mexico. In the fall Judith will be an upcoming senior at the University of Minnesota, where she is majoring in Global Studies in Human Rights and Justice in Latin America and double minoring in Chicano Latinx Studies and Political Science. Last summer she had the privilege of being an Urban Scholar and interned at the State of Minnesota as a Management Analyst for their Youth Development Department. In the spring of 2019, Judith was also a Capital Pathways Intern and obtained the opportunity to intern with the Minnesota Alliance with Youth. As a child of immigrants and a DACA recipient, Judith has seen her parents face many hardships, but never once has seen them give up and she feels the same way for her Latinx Community. "We will continue to stand up and keep fighting no matter how hard the fight may be and that is what is so empowering and beautiful about our community". Judith is passionate about social justice, more specifically immigration, policy and racial justice. She wants to work hard to be able to amplify the voices that often are silenced and pave the path for those who will come after her. Together we are stronger, La Lucha Sigue.
