Come explore ways to think about story and storytelling as a way to engage in courageous conversations about race and to build inclusive learning communities. Enter the world of a community mentor and the people she holds dear as they navigate racial complexities at school and in the community.

This session provides an opportunity for participants to engage in dialogue about race and racism through a story that centers on a narrative about a racial incident at school. Perspectives of those directly involved as well as those who provide support will be explored. Participants will have an opportunity to explore and discuss in small groups when and how they can identify and disrupt patterns racism and be part of everyday racial healing.
