Description

This session will ground racial trauma in the context of ACEs(Adverse Childhood Experiences). It will give participants a way to understand how racial trauma lives in the body and how to combat racism in everyday situations.

This session will include background information of trauma informed care and healing centered engagement with a particular focus on racial trauma. Elements of the circle of security are also included as well as the theory of emotional intelligence.

The information will be relayed through storytelling and a bit of roleplaying to practice techniques.
