Name
Depolarizing Situations to Stay on Track and Get Things Done
Date
Saturday, November 13, 2021
Description

Overcoming racism requires difficult decisions about direction and process that are often values-based propositions that have not been explicitly stated.  This workshop will prepare participants to engage in less polarizing ways through self-assessment and dialogue using a values-based approach to self-awareness and capacity building.

Dialogue is the means through which we arrive at consensus-based decision-making.  Unfortunately, we often leave things left unsaid that must be shared if they are to be considered as part of the decision making process.  This workshop will provide participants with strategies and techniques they can immediately deploy so that they can 1) be less polarizing themselves, 2) stay in meaningful dialogue that allows relationships across difference to be created or maintained, and 3) get this important work done together.
We will use
1.    Self-assessment
2.    Breakout rooms
3.    Storytelling"
