Raven Gizhibaayaanimad Mae (they/them) is an Equity and Inclusion Education Specialist within the Office of Equity and Inclusion at the Department of Human Services. The goal of the Office of Equity and Inclusion is to reduce inequities by addressing broad social, economic, and political factors that result in systemic disadvantages, as well as address and support the needs, assets, and challenges of communities experiencing inequities. This goal supports our shared vision to infuse equity and antiracism ideology and practice into all DHS work and culture, so all employees feel included and experience a sense of belonging.

Their background is in curriculum development, facilitation, project management and community engagement in both non-profit and government sectors. As a fat, queer, mixed, Two Spirit activist enrolled in the Red Lake Band of Ojibwe, they enjoy reading, creating art in their spare time, and sharing adventures with their children and pets.
