My name is Sophia Green and I am the primary presenter for this workshop. I am a senior at St. Lawrence University, double majoring in Creative Writing/Philosophy and minoring in Education.
In my spare time I try to help students in and out of the classroom. I’m a writing tutor for St. Lawrence University’s WORD studio where we have been trained to practice/provide anti-racist and metacognative tutoring for students. I also work as an EMT for SLU EMS– providing students/faculty emergency medical care.

As a Biracial queer student of color in PWI’s with aspirations to become an educator, activism in eduction has become my passion. I strive to use my creativity as a writer and love of education to find new perspectives/solutions to problems minority students face every day. This is my second workshop for this Conference. I conducted one remotely in 2021 and am eager to participate in person this year.
