The Grand Rapids-based Community Action Team has been working together for several years to build community where all people are respected, and everyone can thrive. They have hosted over 20 screenings and discussions about the locally produced film, Colored Lines, and will be screening the film at this year’s conference.

We have adapted our in-person screenings/discussions to online. We screen the film in two sections, with facilitated breakout sessions after each section and time for full group discussion at the end. We bring voices into the space by using the chat feature for people to reflect on the pre-reading materials. We will likely alter this for this audience.
